We were delighted to donate a fantastic £4300 to the West of
The cheque was handed over in a brief ceremony, to chief fundraisers Androulla Karanicola (who also is very hands-on at our festival) and the money will not-only help the centre with its day-to-day costs, but also go towards the appeal that has been launched to replace the existing therapy centre at Nailsea.
Currently, the existing centre suffers from parking problems and further site development is proving to be impossible! An acre of land has been leased from South Gloucestershire Council at Bradley Stoke which has easy access to the M4 & M5. So far approximately £450,000 has been pledged towards the total required which is circa £2.5m
The current centre (in Nailsea) will remain in place until all fund raising has been completed and the new building constructed. It is estimated that the new centre will be opened sometime in 2012.
